You should thank Ballack and Belletti for their idiotic red cards.

City were 2-1 up (3-1) if you count the inpending penalty before either Chelsea players saw red !

highlight of the game must be Bellamy's post match comments saying that everybody knows Terry is a tosser

of all the people to say it, you just knew there would be the irony of it being Bellamy

They were rattled, especially Ballack as they were not getting things their own way and were getting a pasting.

Granted we did not have it all our own way but when they started throwing their rattles out of the pram there was only going to be one winner.

Congratulations. 2-0 in your cup final!  Bless.

City used to play that way when we also wanted to beat the big clubs.  Not pretty but effective, just get stuck in and don't let the better team play football.  Maybe that is the reason that Everton are currently punching above their weight, Moyes is obviously a good motivator. It's sad though that a once moderately successful club like Everton should sink to Wigan/Stoke etc levels (if Wigan beat us tonight they will play football from the Everton school of tactics) but that is football.  I genuinely feel for Everton as we too have, in modern times, lived in the shadow of a more successful neighbour only City are not condemned to this in the future.

To be fair... I want City to finish 4th.
But to call us Over performers is no more than a joke. 4th, 5th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and chance of 7th again this season in the past 8 years. The way we play is the everton way, yet some city fans i was talking to at Eastlands on wednesday were willing to take, Arteta, Pienaar, Rodwell, Heitinga and Saha, yet we've spend 15m net over 8 years. We are a proper club. City used to be, but not anymore. City were equivalent of us.
But the Majority of your fans seem to think because you have an arab in charge you deserve to be the best, it doesnt work that way. You can't bring on 3 DM against everton and hope you'll scrape a 1-0 win. you need to go out and take the game like United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

But much like BazHull, i will also take great pride in this post because it's a bit of banter, but you seem offended.

Not offended at all bobby, banter is what these forums are for.  You gave a playfull dig and I did the same. I work as close to Liverpool as I do to Manchester and have many friends who are toffees.  We have always jousted verbally in fun and there has always been empathy between us.  Unfortunately though, and it is mainly due to Moyes indignance at being usurped by Hughes over Lescott alot of bitterness seems to have crept into the toffee support with their only retort now being that they have up the tensions.  City are in no position to patronise anyone let alone a club as sucessful as Everton but it is easy to wind toffees up this way at the moment and fun to. They take the bait so easily.  By the way, I

Blue is the colour, football is the game
We're all together and winning is our aim
So cheer us on through the sun and rain
Cos Chelsea, Chelsea is our name.

Yea, yea...as Chelsea are also playing in Blue, I'll ask this here. I am heading to London on 23th April and I have tickets for Chelsea v Stoke match for 25th April. I've only visited London once before, but never in the zone where Chelsea plays. So, can you recommend any particular pubs or shops near Stamford Bridge, where the local fans gather around before the game ? And according to my fast search, the Fulham Broadway seems to be the nearest tube station to Stamford Bridge, am I correct?

Its a long time since i went to Stamford bridge , so i can't answer your questions , but if you take a few minutes to register on their fan site 'the shed end ' then go to the 'match chat' thread , i'm sure someone will point you in the right direction !

Here's a link to the site . http://www.theshedend.com/index.php

I'm not bothered, if anything i think the whole Lescott saga is great we got 24m for our second best defender, about 12m too much, plus it makes the games extra spicy, it was a game i looked for 2nd on the fixture list at the start of the season, it's fantastic at Eastlands usually, and this season the Gwladys street was rocking so i was made up.
Hopefully the bitter rivalry continues, i love it.

Bobby

I thought the deal was actually £22 Million but either way a substantial fee was paid by 'Man City' which seems somewhat inflated.

Lescott has of course played both at Centre-Half and at Left-Back but believes that his best position is actually in the centre of defence. He is certainly quick and strong.
