By jingo, 'Mr Warnock' is perhaps engineering yet another promotion charge.

It would appear that 'Crystal Palace' like other clubs have to accept the harsh truths of financial reality and have taken the decision that in the present climate they are unable to retain the services of the high-earner 'Kuqi' who it is reported is on a salary raging from £11-13,000 per week.

Jolly good job therefore that his goals have attracted attention as his recent successes will make it easier for the club to attract a buyer.

Further to my comments above, I am led to believe that 'Kuqi' has settled in the area and it is the model of plausibility that he might consider a pay-cut in order to further his career at the club.

One suspects that Sheffield Utd believed that they were homed and hosed leading 2-1 in the 95th minute but as the late great Brian Clough used to state "It only takes a second to score a goal". And by jingo it was a cracker.

Heart breaking for the supporters who have now experienced 2 'Administrations' in 10 years.
And both times the owners have been somewhat gregarious young businessmen whose gargantuan pride has been followed by an undignified fall.

Rex Flin " NOT another administration ! "

It was reported that when Simon Jordan bought the club ,he bought everything except the ground which was still owned by the previous owner.

Ian

Indeed, the ground was owned by a separate company (Altonwood ?). Simon Jordan bought the football club but NOT the ground and to this day the club do not own the ground but lease it instead.

Rex Flin " Just leasin' NOT ownin' "

.....and the inevitable 10 points deduction.

Hopefully, they will have enough to stay up. I´m sure the Palace fans do not fancy games against Bury and Rochdale next season.

For the TRUE fans out there, I wish them all well.

What a result against Wolves in the cup, and what a perfect hat-trick in six minutes by defender turned makeshift forward Danny Butterfield. Header, right foot, left foot.
