I recall speaking to 'Lennie Lawrence' who said that whilst he was manager of Grimsby he moved Butterfield from right-back into midfield as he felt he was better playing in this position. Understand that the player is a bit of a practical joker !

Big game today against Villa, full house at Selhurst Park, TV money, and a possiblly get into the next round/replay for more much needed cash. Worst possible result is a loss.

COME ON PALACE

Looked like an upset for a while ,but 2-2 is a good result against Villa.

Indeed the Palace team are worthy of enormous praise for their sheer effort and commitment over the 90+ minutes. What a herculean effort - never seen a team work so hard. But for the scandalous award of the 'Corner' Palace would have taken a huge scalp.
Neil Warnock is the perfect manager in their position.

Did you see the game Rex or were you playing the piano at a chimps tea party at the time?

I think Graham tried to reach the oasis of a half-joke but made a prune of himself.

Rex it wasn´t a joke!! Rumour is its minor non events such as I mentioned where you entertain (I use the term loosely of course!!!) In fact I seem to remember you saying as much in a previous thread (totally unrelated to the title of the thread of course!! & nothing to do with football !)

As usual you didn´t answer the question, did you watch the game?? (thought not!! Those chimps can be very demanding! "Do you know the piano´s on my foot?")

Graham "keepin´ regular"

The cup run is now stuffing up our quest for Championship survival. Two home league defeats on the trot now, last night's defeat at home to fellow bottom of the table Reading was a disaster.

I didn't see the game though, I was at home playing the recorder on Nintendo Wii Schoolboy Talent Contest 2.

Graham

I don't accept the allegation that I continually refrain from providing you or anyone else with an answer.
And YES I most certainly witnessed the entire Palace game, so "Thought not" to you.

I can put that rumour 'To Bed' instantly on the basis that I have performed at some esteemed London venues and highly respected venues throughout the UK.

Rex Flin " Top performin' "

Not been a good week for Crystal Palace with back-to-back home defeats resulting in a drop into the relegation zone. These are torrid times overall for the club and one should NOT be surprised if Neil Warnock departs to pastures new ie QPR.
I just have a feeling in my water that Coppell and/or Southgate might feature at some stage.

Hey Rex, have you ever performed with Chas and  Dave? Now that would be impressive
