The 'Endsleigh' League as such does not exist, however I think that 'Pompey' were in that league in the 90s when Jim Smith was the manager.

As I am a professional pianist perhaps "Play up Rex Flin, Rex Flin play up ' is appropriate !

Clearly some corporate entity will come to the fore.

It is amazing how "Corporateness" has entered the fore in terms of stadia names EG Emirates Stadium, Coral Windows Stadium, Kingston Communications stadium etc etc etc. Such a development was unheard of in the old days and one wonders how long it will be before Old Trafford, Anfield etc are also renamed as part of a substantial corporate deal.
But are these famous old grounds sacrosanct ?

Rex

Ian

The signs might indicate as such but to Geordies the ground will always be referred to as 'St James Park'. It will grate on Geordies when commentators make reference to "Sportsdirect.......".

Most certainly the 'Goldrush' has commenced and it is only a matter of time before other clubs go down that route. At the end of the day it is far too profitable an income stream to ignore.
